About Fredrik DeBoer
Blogger known for his academic writing and research dedicated to improving language instruction. He's also contributed to several academic journals, including Kairos and Writing Commons.
He first attended Central Connecticut State University, where he received an undergraduate degree in English. He then received his master's degree from the University of Rhode Island and worked as a teacher in various capacities.
He started posting to his blog at the beginning of 2012 and received his English doctorate from Purdue University in 2015. He's also written for the Observer, The Los Angeles Times, and The New York Times.
He grew up in Boston, Massachusetts.
He published a piece in Harper's about Louis Farrakhan and Black Lives Matters.
