He gained international fame as the leader of the band Anastasija featured in the soundtrack album of Oscar-nominated director Milčo Mančevski's film Before the Rain. He started his musical career as a member of the punk rock band Afektiven naboj from Struga. After moving to Skopje, he joined the punk band Saraceni led by Vladimir Petrovski Karter. He was then the singer of the influential 1980s band Padot na Vizantija. He played bass guitar in the popular Macedonian band Mizar from 1986 to 1987. After Mizar reunited in the 2000s, Goran Trajkovski became his new leader. He is also involved in solo projects, such as an electronic music author under the pseudonym Gotra as well as a film and theater music composer.
