Gordon Percival Septimus Jacob CBE is an English composer and teacher. He was a professor at the Royal College of Music, London from 1924 until his retirement in 1966, and has published four books and numerous articles on music. As a composer he was very prolific: his list of works contained over 700 works, most of which were his own, but a few were orchestras and arrangements of works by other composers. The music he choreographs ranges from William Byrd to Edward Elgar to Noël Coward.
