Graham Chapman is an English comedian, writer, actor and author and one of six members of the British surreal comedy group Monty Python. He played influential figures such as Colonel and starred in two Python films, Holy Grail and Life of Brian. Chapman was born in Leicester and raised in Melton Mowbray. He loved science, theater and comedy, and after graduating from Emmanuel College, Cambridge, and St Bartholomew's Hospital Medical College, he turned down a career as a doctor instead of being a comedian.
