Jake Adam York is an American poet. He published three collections of poetry before his death: Murder Ballads, winner of the 2005 Elixir Prize for poetry; A Murmuration of Starlings, winner of the 2008 Colorado Book Award for Poetry; and The Unknown, an editor's choice in the Crab Orchard poetry series. His fourth book, Abide, was published after his diaspora in 2014. That same year, he was also named the recipient of the American Poet of America Witter Bynner Fellowship.
