Jamie Bestwick is an English BMX racing athlete. He won 13 gold medals at the BMX Vert event at X Games and a gold medal for Vert Best Trick. He started BMX with his friends when he was 10 years old. Jamie just took the BMX exam for fun. Biking is just one way to spend time with your friends. After completing his studies his first priority was to work as a mechanic for an airline in the UK and he thought it would be his career. However, he decided to quit his job and become a professional BMX rider. Jamie competed in his first X Games in 1996. He finished 3 years of Dave Mirra's BMX domination in 2000, winning the gold medal. He gradually became undefeated. He won all the competitions he participated in in 2005. He won a silver medal at the 2015 X Games, lost after 9 consecutive years of victory. Bestwick also won the Laureus World Sports Award for Action Sports Player of the Year and was nominated for an ESPY Award for Athlete.
