João Félix Sequeira is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a striker for Spanish La Liga club Atlético Madrid and the Portuguese national team. He is known for his speed, finishing ability, creativity, acrobatics, technique and dribbling, and can play as a winger or attacking midfielder. He is also often referred to by Portuguese and Spanish sports media as Menino de Ouro. Félix first trained at the youth level of Porto before joining his rival Benfica in 2015. He started playing for the team's reserve team a year later and was promoted to the first team in 2018, making his professional debut at the age of 17. After that, he took on the role of goal scorer and helped Benfica win the championship in the first and only season with them, simultaneously receiving the Primeira Liga Young Player of the Year award and the Golden Boy award. Internationally, he became the youngest player to score a hat-trick in the UEFA Europa League at the age of 18
