John Lee Hooker
John Lee Hooker is an American singer, songwriter and guitarist. As the son of a sharer, he is known for interpreting an adaptation of Delta blues electric guitar. Hookers often incorporate other elements, including talking blues and original country blues from North Mississippi Hill. He developed his own rhythmic boogie driving style, distinct from the boogie-woogie style that originated in the piano of the 1930s-1940s. Hooker is ranked 35th on Rolling Stone's 100 Greatest Guitarists list for 2015. Some of his most popular songs include "Boogie Chillen", "Crawling King Snake", "Dimple", "Boom Boom" and "One Bourbon," One Scotch, One Beer ". Some of his later albums including The Healer, Mr. Lucky, Chill Out, and Don't Look Back were album hits in the US and UK. Healer and Chill Out earned him Grammy wins as well as Don't Look Back, earning him a Grammy double for Best Traditional Blues Record and Best Pop Collaboration.
