Julie Culley is an American track and field athlete who has competed in mid-range runs. Culley represented the United States at the 2012 London Olympics at 5,000m. Competing for Rutgers University, Culley was a full-blown American at Cross Country in her senior year. Despite frequent injuries, she still set records at 3,000m, 5,000m and mixed relay runs, as well as Big East Scholar Athlete of the Year. Culley continued as a coach at Loyola College in Baltimore from 2004 to 2007, before deciding to focus on professional racing. Culley continued as a coach at Georgetown University in September 2014. At the 2008 US Olympics, Culley finished 7th in the 5,000m, with a time of 15: 34.43. She was the first American to finish at the 2009 World Championships, finishing 21st with a time of 28:08. Culley finished fourth at the 2009 US Championships in the 5,000m.
