Kaki King is an American guitarist and songwriter. King is known for her jazz and percussion inspired melodies, energetic live performances, the use of a wide variety of melodies on acoustic and lap steel guitars, as well as her diversity of genres. In February 2006, Rolling Stone launched a list of "New Guitar Gods", in which King is the only woman and the youngest artist. His career includes six LPs and two EP albums, as well as a score for television and film. She worked with Eddie Vedder and Michael Brook contributing music for Sean Penn's soundtrack Into the Wild, the trio that received a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song nominations.
