About Katharine Towne
Perhaps most famous as the child of screen actress Julie Payne and Academy Award-winning screenwriter Robert Towne, Katharine Towne became an entertainer in her own right, appearing in such late 1990s and early 2000s films as She's All That, The Bachelor, and Mulholland Drive.
She made her big screen debut in the 1998 movie Girl.
She played the role of Riley Veatch in the 2000 NBC sitcom M.Y.O.B.
She was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Not only were her parents active in the entertainment industry, but her maternal grandparents, John Payne and Anne Shirley, were also prominent film actors.
Her marriage to British actor Charlie Hunnam lasted from 1999 until 2002.
