Kirstie Louise Alley is an American actress. Her breakout role was Rebecca Howe on the NBC sitcom Cheers, which received an Emmy and a Golden Globe Award in 1991 for her role. From 1997 to 2000, she starred in the sitcom Veronica's Closet, receiving additional Emmy and Golden Globe nominations. During the 1980s and 1990s, Alley appeared in films including Summer School, Shoot to Kill, Look Who's Talking and its two sequels, Madhouse, Sibling Rivalry, Village of the Damned, It. Takes Two, Deconstruct Harry, For Richer or Poorer, and Stunning Drop. She won her second Emmy in 1994 for the television series David's Mother. In 1997, Alley received another Emmy nomination for his work in crime drama The Last Don v. In 2005, she filmed a fictional version of herself on Showtime's Fat Actress. Alley then appeared on Kirstie Alley's Big Life and appeared in the twelfth season of Dancing with the Stars, finishing second.
