Michael Dean Bossy or, according to some sources, Michael Jean Bossy is a former professional Canadian ice hockey player who has played his entire career in the National Hockey League for the New York Islanders, and is a key part of their reign of four years as the Stanley Cup champion in the early 1980s. Bossy won the Calder Memorial Trophy in 1978 as NHL Rookie of the Year. He won the Conn Smythe Trophy in the 1982 Stanley Cup playoff as the best player. He is one of two players to have scored consecutive goals in the Stanley Cup and the only one to have four in a series of playoffs. He is the NHL's all-time leader in average in regular season goals scored per game, keeping NHL's third highest regular season average per game and one in five. Player scored 50 goals after 50 matches.
