Considered one of the greatest pitchers of all time, Herath is the most successful left hand pitcher in Test Cricket history. Herath is a professional left-handed bowler from Sri Lanka and holds the record for best bowling character in matches. Tested by a left-handed bowler with 433 sticks. On March 11, 2017, Herath overcame Daniel Vettori's 362 shots to become the most successful southpaw in cricket testing history. He is the first left-hander to have 400 tests. On February 10, 2018, while touring Bangladesh, Herath became the most successful left bowler in test cricket history, passing Wasim Akram. He has the longest experimental cricket career in Sri Lanka with 19 years from 1999 to 2018.
