Richard Alan Drasin is an American bodybuilder, personal trainer, actor, stuntman, author and professional wrestler. He wrestled professionally and rarely from 1965 to 2001, at the same time winning trophies in amateur bodybuilding competitions during his youth. Drasin is also known for designing both the original Gold's Gym logo - cartoon of a bald weightlifter - and the World Gym gorilla logo. Born and raised in Bakersfield, California, Drasin began his fitness career in 1962. He taught nutrition and exercise classes at the YMCA before being appointed to coach with National Wrestling Alliance champion Mae Young.
