Richard Lee Rhodes is an American historian, journalist, and author of novels and non-fiction, including the Pulitzer Prize-winning Making of the Atomic Bomb and, most recently, Energy: Human History. Rhodes has received grants from the Ford Foundation, the Guggenheim Foundation, the MacArthur Foundation, and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, among others. Rhodes is a subsidiary of the Center for Security and International Cooperation at Stanford University. He also speaks regularly and speaks on a variety of topics, including testimony before the US Senate on nuclear energy.
