Sir Roderick David Stewart is an English singer, songwriter and record producer of rock and pop music. Born and raised in London, he is of Scottish and English descent. With an exceptionally raucous voice, Stewart is one of the best selling music artists of all time, having sold over 250 million records worldwide. He has 10 number one albums and 31 number one singles in the UK, six of which hit number one. Stewart has 16 top singles in the United States, with four singles reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100. He was knighted in honor of the 2016 anniversary for services for music and charity. Stewart's musical career began in 1962 when he began singing music on the harmonica. In 1963, he joined The Dimensions as a harmonica and singer. In 1964, Stewart joined Long John Baldry and All Stars before joining Jeff Beck Group in 1967. Joining Faces in 1969, he also pursued a solo career by releasing his first album the same year.

He worked as a newspaper delivery boy and a gravedigger. He left school when he was fifteen and sought out a career as a footballer until he was rejected.
In 2006, he won a Grammy Award for the best Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album for Stardust...The Great American Songbook Volume III. He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2007.
He married Alana Stewart on April 6, 1979, Rachel Hunter on December 15, 1990, and Penny Lancaster on June 16, 2007. He has four daughters, named Kimberly, Ruby, Sarah and Renee, and four sons, named Sean, Liam, Alastair and Aiden.
He was part of the British invasion along with John Lennon and The Beatles.
