Sergio Pérez Mendoza, nicknamed "Checo", is a Mexican racer who raced in Formula 1 for Red Bull Racing, after driving for Sauber, McLaren, Force India and Racing Point. He won his first Formula 1 Grand Prix at the 2020 Sakhir Grand Prix, breaking the record for the number of starts before winning the 190 race. Pérez was a member of the Ferrari Driving Academy until 2012. He had his first Formula 1 driver for Sauber in the 2011 season. He made his first Formula 1 podium at the 2012 Malaysian Grand Prix with Sauber. Because of his young age and his style, he is called "The Mexico Wunderkind". Pérez joined McLaren in the 2013 season, but the team failed to score a single podium goal. Then, during the 2014 season, the team decided to replace Pérez with Kevin Magnussen. Force India signed for Pérez during the 2014 season for a value of 15 million euros.

Formula One racer who earned his first podium finish in 2012 at the Malaysian Grand Prix. He went on to win the 2020 Sakhir Grand Prix, his first Formula One Grand Prix.
He raced go-karts before racing in the Skip Barber National Championship and several European competitions.
In the 2012 season he was on the podium three times, and finished 10th overall in the Drivers' Championship.
His older brother Antonio competed in the NASCAR Toyota Series in Mexico.
He raced against Formula One stars like the Brazilian Felipe Massa.
