She was president of the Union of African and Malagasy Women. Kuoh-Moukoury is known for her novel Rencontres Essentials, which is the first novel written by a French speaking woman in Africa. It tells the story of Flo, a struggling woman, and she fights to keep her husband after being found sterile. His second novel is pending publication and is "based on the life of political martyr Alexandre Douala Manga Bell". His 1973 essay "Les couple domos" deals with the theme of the dynamics of interracial couples. She is also the author of numerous articles on political activism and feminism in sub-Saharan Africa.
