Therese Of Lisieux
Thérèse de Lisieux, née Marie Françoise-Thérèse Martin, also known as Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus and of the Holy Face, is a French Carmelite nun widely revered in modern times. It is known under the name of "Little Flower of Jesus", or simply "Little Flower". Therese was an influential model of holiness for Catholics and others because of the simplicity and practicality of her approach to the spiritual life. Along with Francis of Assisi, she is one of the most famous saints in the history of the church. Pope Pius X called her "the greatest saint of modern times". Thérèse very early on felt an invitation to religious life and, after overcoming various obstacles in 1888, at the age of 15, she became a nun and joined her two sisters to join the Carmelite community of Lisieux, in Normandy.
