Tom Barrasso
Thomas Patrick Barrasso is an American professional ice hockey coach and former professional ice hockey goalie. He played in the National Hockey League for 18 seasons with the Buffalo Sabers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Ottawa Senators, Carolina Hurricanes, Toronto Maple Leafs and St. John's. Louis Blues. Barrasso is a two-time Stanley Cup champion, winning the championship in 1991 and 1992 alongside the Penguins. He was inducted into the American Hockey Hall of Fame in 2009. After retiring as a player, Barrasso was on the coaching staff for the Carolina Hurricanes in the NHL. In 2012, Barrasso was hired by Metallurg Magnitogorsk of the Continental Hockey League as a member of the coaching staff. In 2016, he joined the Asiago Hockey League of the Alpine League as a head coach, winning the 2017-18 tournament championship. In October 2018, Barrasso was hired as the head coach of the Sheffield Steelers at EIHL.
