Víctor Hugo Peña Grisales is a retired Colombian professional cyclist. The last time he played for the Colombia professional cycling team. In 2003, Peña became the first Colombian to wear a yellow shirt at the Tour de France. He kept the yellow jersey for three days after the 4th, 5th and 6th stages of the tour that year. Peña's 2003 Tour de France, where he served as a waiter for Lance Armstrong, is described in detail in Matt Rendell's book A Significant Other. The book also describes the amateur careers and early careers of professional racers. It bears the name of his father Hugo and the author Victor Hugo. He has the nickname "El Tiburon" because of his looks and other sports in which he excels beyond cycling - swimming. Peña was ranked 7th at the Pan American Teenage Freedom Swimming Championship in 1991. At the end of the 2012 season Peña retired.
