Tischler-Blue began working in the entertainment industry at the age of 17, under the name Vicki Blue as a bassist in the girl's rock group The Runaways in America. After the fall of the band, she was cast by director Rob Reiner to play Cindy in This Is Spinal Tap. His movie Edgeplay is based on his tenure in The Runaways.
