William Sharman
William "Will" Sharman is a British athlete who specializes in running 110 meters over the fence. He started his career as a junior jumper and less athlete, but focused entirely on crossing the fence after a shoulder injury. He made his international debut for the UK at the 2006 European Athletics Championships and went on to compete at Summer University 2007. Sharman came to prominence in 2009, after significantly improving his performance individuals earlier and came fourth in the 110-meter hurdles final at the 2009 World Championships. This will be the first time in three consecutive appearances at the World Championship finals, he finished fifth in the 2011 and 2013 finals. Originally coached by John Anderson, he is the timekeeper for the British television series Gladiators. He is also a well-trained pianist and holds two university degrees.
