Albert Woody Austin II is an American professional golfer who has played most of his career on the PGA Tour, but currently plays in the PGA Tour Champions. Austin was born in Tampa, Florida. He attended the University of Miami, where he was a member of the golf team coached by Norman C. Parsons Jr. He graduated in 1986 with a degree in business administration and became professional by the end of that year. Austin won the Rookie of the Year title on the PGA Tour in 1995. He won four tournaments: the Buick Open 1995, the Buick Championship 2004, the Stanford St. Championship. 2007 Jude shot in the 62nd final and the 2013 Sanderson Farms Championship. In 1997 Verizon Heritage, Austin intentionally hit his head with his putter five times. He hit his head so hard that the handle was bent. After the second round of the 2007 PGA Championship, Austin joked that he was named after actor Woody Harrelson. He then finished 2nd behind Tiger Woods, his best main result.
