Emily Williams is a New Zealand singer, songwriter and actress. She rose to prominence in 2005 in the third season of the Australian Idol and became the finalist in the competition. After Idol, Williams signed with Sony BMG Australia and achieved commercial success as a member of Australian girl group Young Divas. The band released two top 10 albums, Young Divas and New Attitude, and performed 3 top 15 singles, including the hugely successful song "This Time I Know It for Real". After Young Divas disbanded in 2008 and Williams's contract with Sony BMG ended, she began releasing her solo music independently. Williams's first solo single "Spellbound" was released in 2010, followed by the release of his debut solo album Uncovered in 2012 .
