Paul Potts is an English soprano. In 2007, he won ITV's first Britain's Got Talent series with a performance of "Nessun dorma", an aria from Puccini's opera Turandot. A pop opera singer, Potts recorded his album One Chance, which topped sales in 13 countries. Prior to winning Britain's Got Talent, Potts was a manager at Carphone Warehouse. He was Bristol City Councilor from 1996 to 2003 and performed in amateur operas from 1999 to 2003
