Oregon State University is a public land-grant research university in Corvallis, Oregon. The university offers more than 200 undergraduate-degree programs along with a variety of graduate and doctoral degrees. Student enrollment averages near 32,000, making it the state's largest university. Since its founding over 230,000 students have graduated from OSU. It is classified among "R1: Doctoral Universities – Very high research activity" with an additional, optional designation as a "Community Engagement" university. OSU is a land-grant university that also participates in the sea-grant, space-grant, and sun-grant research consortia; it is one of only four such universities in the country. OSU received $441 million in research funding for the 2017 fiscal year and consistently ranks as the state's top earner in research funding.
