Flight

Flight or flying is the process by which an object moves through a space without contacting any planetary surface, either within an atmosphere or through the vacuum of outer space. This can be achieved by generating aerodynamic lift associated with gliding or propulsive thrust, aerostatically using buoyancy, or by ballistic movement. Many things can fly, from animal aviators such as birds, bats and insects, to natural gliders/parachuters such as patagial animals, anemochorous seeds and ballistospores, to human inventions like aircraft and rockets which may propel spacecraft and spaceplanes. The engineering aspects of flight are the purview of aerospace engineering which is subdivided into aeronautics, the study of vehicles that travel through the atmosphere, and astronautics, the study of vehicles that travel through space, and ballistics, the study of the flight of projectiles.

About Flight

Whip Whitaker is an airplane pilot who saves almost all of his passengers when an in-flight malfunction sends the plane crashing to the ground. As the investigation continues, Whip's reputation comes crashing down as well.

Achievement of Flight

Director Robert Zemeckis is actually a pilot himself. The film was nominated for two Academy Awards including Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for Denzel Washington's performance.

Flight Category.. Aerodynamics - Aerodynamics, from Greek ἀήρ aero + δυναμική, is the study of motion of air, particularly when affected by a solid object, such as an airplane wing. It is a sub-field of fluid dynamics and gas dynamics, and many aspects of aerodynamics theory are common to these fields.. Levitation - Levitation is the process by which an object is held aloft, without mechanical support, in a stable position.. Transvection (flying) - Levitation or transvection in the paranormal context is the rising of a human body and other objects into the air by mystical means or meditation.. Aerodynamics.
