In his 22-year baseball career, Perry had 314 wins, 3,534 hits and an average of 3.11 wins. He was elected to Baseball Fame Hall in his third year of qualifying in 1991. Perry, a five-time All-Star, was the first pitcher to win the Cy Young Award in every tournament he won in the American League. 1972 with the Cleveland Indians and in the 1978 National League with San Diego Padres. He is also famous, along with his brother Jim Perry, for being part of the second winning sibling combination in baseball history - just behind two knuckleball brothers, Phil Niekro and Joe Niekro. Playing for the Seattle Mariners in 1982, Perry became the 15th Club 300 member to win.
