Glen Cameron Sather is a Canadian ice hockey player, coach and executive. He is the current senior advisor and acting governor of the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League. He was general manager of the Rangers until his resignation on July 1, 2015 and then served as president until April 4, 2019. He is known to have coached the Edmonton Oilers team to win four Cup championships. Stanley in the 1980s. He was credited with attracting talented players, including Wayne Gretzky, who helped make Oilers the hockey dynasty of this era. Gretzky, who became "the most dominant player in game history", along with his father Walter Gretzky, noted Sather's most important mentors.
