Goorjian won the Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or Special for his role as David Goodson in the television series The Mother of David. He is also known for his role as Justin, Neve Campbell's love story in the Golden Globe-winning series Party of Five, as well as his role as Heroine Bob in SLC Punk! and its sequel, Punk's Dead. As a director, Goorjian gained recognition for his first major independent film, Illusion, which he wrote, directed and starred alongside Hollywood legend Kirk Douglas.
