Mike Emrick
Michael "Doc" Emrick is a retired sports commentator and commentator on US Television, best known for his work in ice hockey. He is the primary advertiser for national broadcaster NHL on NBC and NBCSN. Among the many awards Emrick has received is the 2004 NHL Lester Patrick Award, making him the first of five to receive just one award for his media work, and the Foster Memorial Award. Hewitt was hosted by the 2008 Hockey Hall of Fame. It has also won eight National Emmy Awards for Excellence in Sports Broadcasting, being the only hockey television channel to receive one. On December 12, 2011, Emrick became the first member of the media to be featured at the American Hockey Fame Hall. In 2017, Sports Illustrated ranked Emrick as Athlete of the Year.
