Satoru Sayama is a Japanese professional wrestler, writer and promoter of mixed martial arts, better known as Original Tiger Mask. He wrestled under his real name as well as Sammy Lee, and wore the Super Tiger, Tiger King, Tiger Mask and The Mask of Tiger masks. He is the only one to hold the WWF Junior Heavyweight Championship and the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship simultaneously. He is also the founder of Shooto, Seikendo and Real Japan Pro Wrestling. Bret Hart called Sayama "the Bruce of wrestling" because of his extremely fast speed, martial arts, and athletic ability. Sayama excelled at being a contender for the first 5-star rated by Dave Meltzer for a match, for their 1983 NJPW Sumo Hall Show match. This is considered highly regarded in the industry.
