William Clement Frawley is an American stage, film and television actor best known for his role as owner Fred Mertz in the American television sitcom I Love Lucy and "Bub" O'Casey in the comedy television series My Three Sons. Frawley began her variety career in 1914 with his wife, Edna Louise Broedt. Their comedic act, known as "Frawley and Louise", continued until their divorce in 1927. Frawley performed on Broadway several times and signed with Paramount Studios in 1916 to act as a silent film. He has appeared in over 100 films in 35 years.
