Ira Block
Ira Block is an American photographer. Since the mid-1970s he has photographed numerous stories for National Geographic Magazine, National Geographic Adventure, and National Geographic Adventure. He photographed various locations in Africa, the Australian outback, the Gobi Desert, Siberia and the Arctic, where he spent three months with late Japanese explorer Naomi Uemura. Block's archives include rare archaeological remains from ancient sites in Eastern Europe and the Middle East, as well as unique recorded images of the ritual dances of the Pueblo Indians in western South America.
