He made four appearances between 1958-1969 for four teams in his career, but was noticed primarily during his time playing for the Cleveland Indians. During his 12 years of baseball career, Bell has scored 121 wins, 1,378 hits and averaged 3.68 points earned. During his first two years, Bell set a 28-21 record as part of the Cleveland pitch. In 1960, his record was 5-1 after his first month of playing, but the role problem has grown, he only won 4 out of 13 of his last decisions. At the end of August, he was sent home for the remainder of the season to deal with the illness. The following year, Bell started off slowly with a 0-4 record and finished with a 12-16 difference. Physical problems as well as court control problems have been tabulated as the main reasons why he continues to struggle. In 1962, he was transformed into a reliever reliever, helping the Indians have more than 10 rescues in 1962 and 1966 .

Pitcher who was known as"Ding Dong" during his ten-year career with the Cleveland Indians. During his two seasons with the Red Sox, he appeared in three All-Star Games with the Indians and one with the Boston Red Sox, including the 1967 World Series against the St. Louis Cardinals.
