Pauliasi Taulava, also known as Asi Taulava, is a Filipino professional basketball player born in Tonga for the Philippine Basketball Association's NLEX Road Warriors team. He is the oldest active player in the tournament. Standing 6 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 245 pounds, Taulava is considered by many to be one of the tallest and most dominant Filipino basketball players ever to play at the center of the PBA. During his 21 years of career, Taulava used his size and strength to beat his opponents to gain points and rebounds. He is also a member of the Philippine national team many times participating in international competitions. After his career in PBL, Taulava joined PBA in 1999, when he was directly hired by Mobiline Phone Pals. With his performance, he quickly became one of the best passers in the tournament, even winning the MVP award in 2003. After 8 years playing for Talk N 'Text, he was changed to Coca-Cola Cola Tigers where he played until 2010 .
