Bernard W. Bierman is an American football player, soccer and basketball coach. He was a trainer from 1919 to 1950, except for a time during World War II when he served in the US armed forces. Bierman used to be the head coach of the University of Montana, Mississippi State University, Tulane University and his alma mater, the University of Minnesota, has established a college football record of 153–65–12. In Minnesota, the Bierman Golden Gophers hit a record 93–35–6, won five national championships and seven Big Ten Conference titles, and ended five seasons unbeaten. Bierman is also the head basketball coach in Montana, Mississippi and Tulane, with a college basketball total score of 89-51.
