William Tass Jones, known as Bill T. Jones, is an American choreographer, director, author and dancer. He is the co-founder of Bill T. The Jones / Arnie Zane Dance Company. Jones is the artistic director of New York Live Arts, the Manhattan-based headquarters, with activities including an annual introductory season as well as artist-friendly services and educational programs. Independent of New York Live Arts and its dance troupe, Jones has choreographed for major performing arts troupes, contributed to Broadway and other theatrical productions, and collaborated on projects with various other artists. Jones has been called "one of the most recognized modern choreographers and dance directors of our time."
