Brian Thomas Allin is an American professional golfer who won five rounds of the PGA in the 1970s. Allin was born in Bremerton, Washington. He learned to play golf at the age of 13 as a cadet at the Santa Barbara City Golf Course in Santa Barbara, California. Prodigal footballer, Allin attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and was on the golf team alongside Johnny Miller. He served in the military as an artillery officer during the Vietnam War and won four ornaments, including a Bronze Star and an Air Force Medal. He became a pro in 1969 and qualified for the PGA Tour on the first try, on the grounds that golfing was not a big deal compared to war. Allin's first PGA Tour victory came in 1971 at the Greater Greensboro Open when he defeated Dave Eichelberger and Rod Funseth in the first sub hole in the playoffs. He won it five times over five years from 1971 to 1976
