Edward Arthur Toth is an American musician who currently plays the drums for The Doobie Brothers. Toth joined Doobies in 2005 after leaving Vertical Horizon. Still interested in music, Toth says he's been playing the drums for most of his life. He made good use of his father's record collection and was active in all music shows in East Lyme, Connecticut, playing in his high school band at East Lyme High School. He attended the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami where he graduated with a BA in Music in 1994. While still in school, Toth joined the funk / rock group Jennifer Culture. Toth has performed in many other rock and funk groups over the past decade. Most notably, he was a member of Vertical Horizon from 1996 to 2005, the album hit multiple platinum records Everything You Want, with the title track also ranked at No. 1.
