Frank Broyles
John Franklin Broyles is an American football player and coach, athletics administrator and announcer. He is known for his career at the University of Arkansas. He was football head coach for a season at the University of Missouri in 1957 and at the University of Arkansas from 1958 to 1976. Broyles also served as Arkansas sporting director from 1974 until retiring on December 31, 2007. As head football coach, Broyles set a record of 149–62–6. His record of 144–58–5 in 19 seasons was the most and most prolific of any head coach in the history of Arkansas Razorbacks football. With Arkansas, Broyles won seven Southwest Conference titles, and her 1964 team was named national champion by a number of conservatives, including the American Football Writers' Association. Broyles is considered one of the best head coaches in the history of college football. He was inducted into the College Football Fame Hall in 1983.
