Guy Mezger is an American martial artist who has participated in professional combat sports, including recombinant karate, kickboxing, and boxing, but is recognized as a mixed martial artist. Mezger retired from professional gambling on January 25, 2005. He joined Lion's Den and ran their school in Dallas. Mezger has been the Mixed Martial Arts Champion in two different tournaments, the UFC and the Pancrase. He won against Tito Ortiz, Masakatsu Funaki, Yuki Kondo, Semmy Schilt and Minoru Suzuki. Mezger has trained with many opponents and top martial arts instructors / instructors; His main coaches are Vince Tamura, Willie Thompson, Billy "Jack" Jackson and Ken Shamrock. Mezger co-wrote a book, The Complete Idiot's Complete Guide to Kickboxing, and played an unrecognized role in Walker's season one Texas Ranger episode titled "Night of the Gladiator."
