Born and raised in Bennigsen, Hanover, she performed as a member of the German children's choir Joyful Noise before auditioning for the fifth season of The Voice of Germany in 2015. She competed with was one of ten- seven composers members of the Michi & Smudo team and then became the winner after getting 38% of the audience's votes. Kriewitz's first and winning single, "Ghost", peaked at 11th place in the GfK Entertainment Charts, 65th place in the Top 40 of Ö3 Austria and 26th place in the Swiss Hitparade. She then signed a recording contract with Universal Music Group; Her debut studio album, Berlin, was released on April 29, 2016 and reached No. 18 on the GfK Entertainment charts.
