Josh Eric Eppard is an American musician from Kingston, New York and the drummer of progressive rock bands Coheed and Cambria. He works as a solo rapper under the name Weerd Science and drummer for the super-group rock band Terrible Things. Josh is a founding member of new outfits Woodstock, NY prog 3 along with brother Joey and studio engineer Chris Bittner. On November 2, 2006, it was announced that Josh would be leaving Coheed and Cambria indefinitely, with Chris Pennie replacing him. The reason for his sudden departure from the group has been hidden in mystery. However, in an interview with Michael Dodd of Get Your Rock Out, Josh exposed rumors of rest. While there is speculation that Josh left the band due to “creative limitations,” his separation from the band was actually due to a drug addiction exacerbated by his frenzied touring schedule, among other things.
