Patrick Krief is a Canadian musician and singer-songwriter, best known as a former guitarist for The Dears. In 2004, he participated in MTV Canada's Moose Catch project. He was a guest on the Jonathan Ross show in 2005. In 2006 he appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman, Last Call with Carson Daly and Jimmy Kimmel Live! In August 2007, Krief released his first solo EP Take It Or Leave, mixed by Murray Lightburn, a former member of the band Dears. He has toured internationally, notably to Mexico, to promote EP and his new solo career under the name Krief. In 2009, Krief released Calm Awaits with his band Black Diamond Bay. Besides being a musician, Krief is also a record producer, self-produced all his albums and songwriter for bands like the New Wave Blues; Wandas' third LP was released in January 2009 and The Roxy Pro in 2014. In September 2016, Krief released a double album titled Automanic.
