Patrick Krief is een Canadese muzikant en singer-songwriter, vooral bekend als voormalig gitarist van The Dears. In 2004 nam hij deel aan het Moose Catch-project van MTV Canada. Hij was te gast op de Jonathan Ross-show in 2005. In 2006 was hij te zien in The Late Show met David Letterman, Last Call met Carson Daly en Jimmy Kimmel Live! In augustus 2007 bracht Krief zijn eerste solo-EP Take It Or Leave uit, gemixt door Murray Lightburn, een voormalig lid van de band Dears. Hij toerde internationaal, met name naar Mexico, om EP en zijn nieuwe solocarrière te promoten onder de naam Krief. In 2009 bracht Krief Calm Awaits uit met zijn band Black Diamond Bay. Naast muzikant is Krief ook platenproducent, produceerde al zijn albums zelf en songwriter voor bands als de New Wave Blues; Wandas' derde LP werd uitgebracht in januari 2009 en The Roxy Pro in 2014. In september 2016 bracht Krief een dubbelalbum uit met de titel Automanic.
