Roger Dean Miller Sr. is an American singer-songwriter, songwriter and actor widely known for his honky tonk-influenced romance songs and his "King of" country and pop hits. the Road, "" Dang Me "and" England Swings, "all from Nashville's acoustic era to the mid-1960s. After growing up in Oklahoma and serving in the United States military, Miller began a career in the his. as a musician in the late 1950s, writing hits like "Billy Bayou" and "Home" for Jim Reeves and "Invitations to the Blues" for Ray. He then began his recording career and reached peaked in popularity in the mid-1960s, then recorded and toured in the 1990s, entering the charts of the last 20 country hits "Old Friends" with Price and Willie Nelson in 1982. He also wrote and performed songs for the 1973 Disney cartoon Robin Hood. Later in his life he wrote music and lyrics for the 1985 Tony Award-winning musical Big River, in which he starred.
