Thomas Rolland Norris is a former US Navy SEAL and Outstanding Eagle Scout who received the Medal of Honor for Ground Rescue with the assistance of Petty Officer Third Class Nguyen Van Kiet, two crew members were shot dead in the province of Quang Tri, Vietnam April 10-13, 1972. At the time of his intervention, Lieutenant Norris was a SEAL advisor to the Strategic Technical Director Support Team. Norris was one of three SEALs to be awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions during the Vietnam War.
